Murder She Drew - Alone She Ponders
Lorna has a life-long love of crows and ravens. They are cheeky, rambunctious, thoughtful, caring, loving, playful, somber and above all else, tremendously intelligent. She is drawn to the intellect reflected in the tilt of their heads and the depth of their eyes. They exude an otherworldliness that she always hope to capture when drawing them. She chose pencils on paper for this series and for this drawing as she wanted the softness and organic nature of pencils on paper in order to express the soul of this bird. She is alone, overlooking a vast wilderness, pondering the state of her world and what the future holds. Her heart is aching for the color that is missing and is contemplating whether it will ever return. Alone She Ponders. Award-winning artwork.
